Prof. Dr. Ayman Elbadawy

Prof. Dr. Ayman Elbadawy completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at The American University in Cairo. He earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 2000. After completing his Ph.D., Professor Ayman joined the Faculty of Engineering and Materials Science (EMS) at the German University in Cairo (GUC) as a professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. He is the former vice dean for the academic affairs of the Faculty of EMS and is currently the head of the Mechatronics Department. His research interests span a wide range of topics in control systems, drones, robotics, autonomous systems, reinforcement learning, and the networked-control of multi-agent systems. Professor Ayman has published many papers in these areas, contributing significantly to the advancement of both theoretical and applied aspects of control engineering.
